If Insatiable was dark, Voracious is pitch black. And I mean that as the highest possible compliment.

Leigh Rivers takes everything she built in book one — the obsession, the fractured history, the tension that never fully broke — and turns the dial up to a level that genuinely kept me up past midnight. Kade and Stacey are back in each other’s orbit, and the truth about their past is finally starting to surface. What Rivers does with those revelations is devastating.

This is one of those books where you feel like you’re enduring the pain alongside the characters rather than watching from a comfortable distance. The emotional damage is real and it’s earned — every gut punch lands because the groundwork was laid carefully in book one. You care too much by this point to protect yourself from it.

The last quarter of this book is relentless. I could not put it down. The ending — which I will not spoil — is the kind of gut-punch that makes you immediately reach for book three while simultaneously needing to lie on the floor for a moment.

Kade and Stacey are becoming one of my favorite dark romance couples. The depth of what Rivers has built here is rare in this genre.

Note: Do not start here. Read Insatiable first. This series must be read in order.
